Steve Steve Fake grew up in eastern Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh, where he was involved in student activism. He became interested in radical politics after seeing Good Will Hunting, where he first heard of Howard Zinn and Noam Chomsky. Like so many others, his political outlook has been heavily influenced by these two individuals. He lives and works in Boston.


Kevin Funk is a native of the Pennsylvania Dutch heartland city of York, and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with degrees in political science and journalism. An activist and political commentator, he writes frequently on US foreign policy. He is currently living and working in Chile.

Steve Fake and Kevin Funk have been researching, writing, and speaking about the Darfur crisis since 2006. Their works have appeared in the Los Angeles Times, In These Times Magazine, AlterNet, CommonDreams, Foreign Policy In Focus, Pambazuka, ZNet, CounterPunch, and many other publications.
